"My name is Matt sutherland and the attached photo is of my grandfather on my mother's side. He was a member of the Perth Regimen, Dog Company. This photo was taken in the final weeks of the war. The story goes that he was out on a foot patrol and found a war correspondent who had become lost. The photographer asked for my grandma's name and said he would send the photo to her. If you look carefully in the back of the photo to the left of the tree you can see a Canadian soldier falling after being wounded and another soldier returning fire. I would love to see this photo of him added to the website. His service # was B-111396"
